[Review]: Harmonia: G-Spot Vibrator

Disclaimer: This is a review of a sex toy. If you are not of the 18+ crowd, then it’s best if you go on to the next blog entry after this one. You have been warned. I’m just saying.

I recently decided on trying my hand on sex toy reviews. I have never owned a vibrator before this, so I thought that this would be an awesome opportunity to start my own collection. I’m not in this alone–Ronnie is my assistant and he helped me get used to my first vibrator–which turned out to be the Harmonia.

It’s a g-spot vibrator, which simply means that its shape is designed to stimulate said g-spot. That is, if you have one.1 It is made of silicone, not latex, as Ronnie thought at first. Had it been latex, we’d be in a whole heap of trouble as I recently found out that I have a buffered latex allergy2. For this reason, it’s fairly easy to clean with soap and water, but just for safety reasons (and for even easier cleanup), putting a condom on it is recommended.

When we first got it, I fell in love with the box it came into. It made for easy hiding for those who don’t need to see. But it also has little “drawer” compartments which contain lube, a cock ring, some toy cleaner and a toy pouch. A purple one (despite the toy itself being green; by the way, it comes in two colors) at that. When it was time to use it, we tested out the noise level. It’s loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to hear through walls. It has 6 different vibrations, although, with me being a toy nub, they all felt the same to me.

Here’s the critical part of me. I like this little toy. However, I am not easy to get off. The first time I tried it, I was honestly scared to try it again because it was downright too powerful on my g-spot, and well…if you are familiar with your own g-spot and the orgasms that may come, it feels like you have to pee. Like really bad. Now with me being pregnant, this is not a good feeling. I was honestly scared to death that I’d make a mess and it wouldn’t be of the orgasmic kind. The second time I tried it, I made sure to go pee before so that I wasn’t feeling too tense. It worked, but oddly enough, when I told Ronnie to turn it up, it was already on the highest setting. Damn, and I actually felt like I was gonna orgasm then too! I can’t explain why the different feelings between both uses, other than the fact that the second time I must have been really horny3. Ronnie tried on the cock ring and wasn’t a huge fan of it. Didn’t really do anything for him.

All in all, I do like the Harmonia and it’s definitely one that I’ll have fun using again (maybe after I have my baby though; see if that makes a difference). If you’re a toy nub like me, this is good for you. If you like your g-spot stimulated, this is good for you. If you are like me and take forever and a day to get off, then you might need something stronger. I would like to thank the folks at EdenFantasys for letting me try this product out. By the way, their adult toy selection is to die for–I couldn’t pick just one at first. Be forewarned of that.

  1. We all have one, some are just harder to find, I’m just saying
  2. Don’t ask what it means
  3. My libido is crazy, I swear

  1. Using sex toys can relieve headaches and pain in general. When you experience an orgasm, your brain floods your body with endorphins, which not only make you feel good, it also blocks pain sensors.

  2. Sex toys are safer than actual sex. You can not get pregnant or contract an STD from a sex toy. However, cleaning is still a must, as you can develop and infection from improperly cleaned sex toys.
