I’m bad at this.

Okay, so a few days ago, Ronnie pointed out to me that I neglected my site. No. I did not neglect it per se, but outside of motherly things, I have nothing interesting to say. I’m not exactly an interesting person. Then I pointed out to him that he isn’t much better in that department.

But anyways, since I’m not an interesting person, I’ll talk about a more interesting person in my life. So you know that saying about wanting kids to shut up now that they know how to talk? Well, Rydia has this lovely idea of cooing at 1am in the morning when she should be sleeping. Luckily for me, she does sleep through the night1 now, but she seems to think it’s playtime despite the fact that the light is off and Ronnie’s snoring right next to me.

She’s a hoot though. I swear, I need to find a way to get her to “talk” on video. It’s quite entertaining.

So yeah, I’m not dead. Yes, I’m still a zombie at times, but nothing compared to a few months ago. So that’s an improvement, right?

RIGHT?!

  1. I’m glad she’s mostly sleeping through the night. What time do you get her down and what time does she wake up? Alex fights sleep and will CRY until he falls asleep. Ugh I hope he grows out of that soon. I usually get him down between 10 and 11pm because that’s when I want to fall into bed. Sometimes he’ll go down sooner around 9pm. Then he wakes up at 5am to eat and falls right back asleep (Adam gets up with him at that feeding) until he wakes up around 8-9am which is when I start my day! But definitely we’re getting more sleep compared to a couple months ago! The most he’s slept at a time is 7 hours but usually it’s about 6 hours a night.

Anyways I’m glad you updated! I’m horrible at updating too, it’s usually once a week if I remember but I did write tonight since I had pictures to share 🙂

  2. @Alanna – She’s usually down at first at 10pm. Then she’ll wake up at 1am for one last bottle (thank goodness we’re night owls, unless this would suck) until about 6am-7am for the morning. Then she’ll go back to sleep for a couple more hours and at 10am she’s up and cooing and all that, which is around the time I normally wake up. So she sleeps generally for a 5-6 hour stretch and then another 3 after the first morning bottle.

Now this doesn’t always happen. Like last night, she wanted to play at 1am even though we were both winding down and the lights were off. She’s quite noisy when she’s not tired, lol. Granted, she did go to sleep shortly after; but not before Ronnie was gonna make her another bottle when she had one like an hour or so earlier because she started to freak out. She loves a pacifier, LOL.
