Namari, which apparently means “lead” in Japanese, is actually a combination of Nat and Marie. It was technically born a few days before Christmas, however it didn’t officially open until January 14th, 2011, 2 weeks later than it should have. It is run by Nat Marie, powered by WordPress, a plethora of plugins, iced coffee, endless cussing at failed coding and sarcastic remarks. I am currently hosted on A Small Orange.
The move from Crestfallen to Namari was a tough one. A friend told me that due to all these new and exciting things happening in my life, that Crestfallen no longer suited me. And after thinking about it, she was right; I was no longer the 95% emo chick that I was a few years ago. I’ve grown into my own, I suppose.
While Namari has layouts created by myself, the main purpose of it is not to show off graphical prowess (or the lack thereof). I know where my strengths lie, and I weigh heavily on these strengths. This isn’t to say that I don’t care about the look of the site. It’s just that I won’t put a lot of emphasis on it. I rather be true to myself. I’m not the best graphic maker. So there it is.
All of what I write here is mine unless otherwise noted. I swear, a lot. Probably a lot more than I should. Please respect that and enjoy the site. I’m not going to be evil and say “if you don’t like it, then there’s the little X”. However, I say that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then spare me. 9 out of 10 times, I’m probably not going to give a shit, and I’m probably going to do the same shit I did before.
