A few years ago, I decided to delve into novel writing by participating in NaNoWriMo. The end product1 turned out to be Mirrored Worlds. I enjoyed writing it, and I’m sad that I never got a chance to finish it; it’s sitting at 13,000 words.2 I wanted to participate again last year, never did, but to be fair, this was still me trying to settle in California and also the start of what would be a huge life change (although I didn’t know it at the time).

This year, I’m saving myself the disappointment. I have zero ideas …

What was your first ever website called? What was it about? How long did you have it?

To be honest, I don’t remember my first ever website. But here’s the reason for that–I used to take on different projects at once (wait, I still kinda do), and I can’t remember which came first. I do know, however, that it was on Geocities (before they went to shit and eventually diedededed), and it was more writing-based than anything else. namari.org was created with new beginnings in mind. This is the story of a New Yorker toughing it out in the wild palm-tree infested, no snow territory of California with her super dorky gamer addict fiance. Her name is Nat Marie, and this is her story; told with sarcasm and caffeine.
