A semi-quiet V-day
Semi, because around this time last year, we didn’t have a 6-month-old diva to worry about.
We don’t do the whole “going all out” thing for V-day. Hell, just a couple of years ago, I was completely against the whole thing, and I made it known.1 Now, while I still think that it’s an overrated, commercial holiday (yay Hallmark!), I don’t wear all black anymore. Besides, loved ones doesn’t not necessarily mean ones you fuck every night. I have two Valentines this year–the man who I do the bump with every night2, and the little girl who …

And now we wait…some more.
This is a very frustrating time. I want to hold my baby girl already! But nooooooo! Rydia’s still stubborn, just like her daddy. Ronnie’s getting a bit antsy himself; he won’t admit it (often), but he’s excited. I think he’s more waiting for her to pop out at like 10 pounds so that he can say “I told you so”, but he wants to hold Rydia as much as I do, no matter how pleasantly plump she may be.
Sunday would be my due date. Honestly, I didn’t think that I would have lasted this long at all. I’ve been stressed throughout the early part of this pregnancy, and I was in denial for …

Why you shouldn’t attempt to eat a whole pie of pizza…
I may be eating for two1, but my stomach is still the same size and unlike my lovely dork of a fiance, I can’t down a whole pie of pizza no matter how small it may be.
I’m feeling rather ill right now. But at least the 1.5 pieces I had were pretty good. Thank goodness for Ziplocs and rainy days.

Dork I am.
So Ronnie and I went to Target today to look at some baby stuff. We have an ungodly amount of baby clothes, thanks to my mom, aunts, cousins and sisters1. So we decided on holding off on buying any more because we barely have room for what we have already! Anyways, we did find a cute gem that we ended up grabbing (along with bottles and a new pair of pajama pants so that I’m comfortable).
This sums up Rydia perfectly.
- And they are not done yet, and Ronnie’s mom still haven’t sent out her batch either ↩

The city girl vs…life.
So this September will be one year since I’ve been a Southern California resident. Sometimes I still feel like a fish out of water, but I have to remind myself that Ronnie, being a Michigander, is going through the same regenesis that I am. Granted, we got a little more than what we bargained for so soon1, but we’re surviving. Sometimes, but I chalk this up to being 8 months pregnant and currently fighting cold #4, I get all snippy and guess who feels the brunt of it?
Well anyways, last Friday was our 2-year anniversary. And for those who have jumped ship with me remembers …
